Four Daily Fantasy Players From the New Orleans Saints vs Chicago Bears

Three Saints and one Bear to target in daily fantasy

NFL: Detroit Lions at New Orleans Saints Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

If you're a daily fantasy player, before each game I will look at three/four players from the New Orleans Saints and their opponent’s rosters that I would target in daily fantasy (based off their value and potential results). Obviously, Saints QB Drew Brees is a safe QB for daily fantasy leagues, but spending your money on a top-tier starting QB leaves you scraping the barrel to fill out the rest of your roster.

So here are three Saints and one Bear that provide the most bang for your buck. (Values from Fanduel.)

QB Drew Brees (NO) - $8,500

Drew Brees finally had his first 300-yard game since Week 2 against the New England Patriots. He’s now returning home to the Dome and will look to be a top fantasy QB for the better part of the rest of the season. He comes only $900 cheaper than the most expensive QB available (Tom Brady, go figure), but there is plenty of value to find elsewhere in this game.

RB Alvin Kamara (NO) - $6,400

Alvin Kamara had another 100-yard game last week, and is continuing to shine after the Saints traded Adrian Peterson to Arizona. He comes a whopping $3,000 cheaper than the most expensive RB available, and if your daily fantasy league scores points per reception, Kamara is a great, cheap RB option.

RB Tarik Cohen (CHI) - $5,800

Going cheaper and cheaper. Cohen is an even cheaper option than Kamara. He’s a pass-catching RB that burst onto the scene early in the season, and has fizzled out recently. The Saints will look to get ahead and stay ahead, Cohen should be the beneficiary of plenty of check-down receptions.

WR Michael Thomas (NO) - $7,500

Michael Thomas had a solid yet unspectacular game last week against the Packers. This keeps the Saints’ #1 wideout slipping in cost week to week. He’s $200 cheaper than he was last week, and is $1,700 cheaper than the most expensive WR available. He’s still going to be Drew Brees’s favorite WR to target in this game, so it’ll just be a matter of turning a volume of targets into stats.

My full daily fantasy lineup this week:

QB Drew Brees (NO) - $8,500

RB Alvin Kamara (NO) - $6,400

RB Tarik Cohen (CHI) - $5,800

WR Michael Thomas (NO) - $7,500

WR Mike Evans (TB) - $8,200

WR Pierre Garcon (SF) - $6,700

TE Zach Ertz (PHI) - $7,300

K Jake Elliott (PHI) - $4,800

DST Bengals (vs Colts) - $4,800
