New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has certainly had a memorable week. After a 152-yard performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kamara was up for two weekly NFL awards. He most recently won FedEx Ground Player of the Week, beating out Arizona’s Adrian Peterson and Dallas’ Ezekiel Elliot.
Now, Kamara can add Pepsi Rookie of the Week honors to his collection from Week 9. The Friday afternoon announcement comes as no shock, as Kamara definitely bested his competitors and did it on just 16 total touches en route to a 2-touchdown day in addition to the rushing and receiving total.
Another @NFL weekly award for @A_kamara6:

Saints rookies have taken down this weekly award now two out of the past three weeks and four out of the past six weeks. Marshon Lattimore (Week 6 and 8) and Alvin Kamara (Week 4 and 9) have been some of the many to shine for New Orleans, and one would fully anticipate more awards to come their way in the back half of the season.
