The NFL officially announced that the Week 12 and Week 13 games involving the New Orleans Saints have been flexed. Here’s the skinny:

  • Week 12’s game between the Saints and Los Angeles Rams has moved back 20 minutes into the 3:25 p.m. CT slot, and will be televised on CBS. It’s likely that their top broadcast duo of Jim Nantz and Tony Romo will get this game.
  • Week 13’s home game between the Saints and Carolina Panthers moves from a noon kickoff to a 3:25 p.m. CT slot, and will remain on FOX. Look for Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, who are calling this week’s game against the Redskins, to be back in New Orleans.

A report by The Advocate’s Nick Underhill broke earlier this morning that hinted at the moves by the league. There was little to no optimism of the Saints getting a Sunday Night Football spot, and they haven’t been featured on prime time since Week 1’s meeting against the Vikings on Monday Night Football. They do have an upcoming Thursday Night Football game for Dec. 7 on the books.
