The Saints are a running team, that is, they have the ability to be if the coaching staff decides to continue to ride the hot hand(s). In week 10 the offense piled up 300 yards on the ground before Chase Daniel’s kneel downs brought them back under. It was a dominant performance by the runningbacks, but also showed how dominant this offensive line can be once healthy.
Putting up dual 100 yard rushers in Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara week in and week out is a statistically improbability. That just doesn’t happen in today’s NFL. However, Sean Payton and company would be remiss if they didn’t attempt to utilize what has become one of the league’s most lethal rushing attacks.
In the below video we’ll take a look at how the Saints run game was able to find success consistently against the Buffalo Bills (In Buffalo. In 40 degree weather.). Spoiler: Good blocking, and talented runningbacks. It’s nice not having to rely on Drew Brees every game, isn’t it?
As always, thanks for watching. Who or what would you like to see a film study on next? Who Dat and God Bless!
