Drew Brees may have started slow out of the gate for the New Orleans Saints, but he certainly finished strong in Week 11’s come-from-behind victory over the Washington Redskins. Now, he’s up for two NFL weekly awards, while teammate Mark Ingram is up for FedEx Ground Player of the Week.
Brees is up against Tom Brady and Kirk Cousins. He threw for a season-high 385 yards and two scores, going 29-of-41. On the Saints final two offensive possessions of regulation, he was a perfect 11-of-11 for 168 yards and the two touchdown passes.
Ingram is up against Jordan Howard and LeSean McCoy. He finished the game with 134 rushing yards and a score on just 11 carries (12.2 yards per carry), and added 3 catches for 21 yards. His two overtime runs set up the game-winning 28-yard Wil Lutz field goal.
