New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram has had himself a season. The NFL announced on Tuesday morning that Ingram is Week 11’s NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Ingram certainly didn’t get a ton of touches against the Washington Redskins in the team’s thrilling come-from-behind victory in overtime, but he certainly made the most of it when he was called upon. Ingram had a 134-yard rushing performance and a score on just 11 carries (12.2 yards per carry), and also had 3 receptions for 21 yards.
The Saints offense only needed two runs from Ingram in overtime to get into field goal range for Wil Lutz. The veteran running back has added a considerable amount of awards this season, and he’s actually the first Saints running back in franchise history to win OPOW in consecutive seasons.
Ingram and rookie Alvin Kamara are tearing up the stat sheet and running over defenses these days. It will be interesting to see how they fare against the Rams in a crucial Week 12 road contest.
