The New Orleans Saints have executed a clean sweep of the NFL’s weekly awards, it would appear. Alvin Kamara was announced as the Pepsi Rookie of the Week, while Drew Brees was deemed the Castrol Edge Clutch Performer of the Week. Needless to say, it was a thrilling comeback victory over the Washington Redskins in Week 11.

Brees, who already took down FedEx Air Player of the Week, went 11-of-11 for 164 yards and two touchdowns on the team’s final two possessions of regulation. He finished the day 29-of-41 for 385 yards and the two passing scores.

The touchdown to Alvin Kamara that put the Saints within a 2-point conversion to tie it was a thing of beauty, as it displayed some stellar concentration. How the three Redskins defenders didn’t bring him down before he scored is still a mystery. Kamara, who had 116 yards and a score on the day through a combination of 42 rushing yards and 74 receiving yards, has now won the award three weeks in a row and four times this season.

Mark Ingram has already won FedEx Ground Player of the Week and named Week 11’s NFC Offensive Player of the Week.
