It’s only fitting that the guy who won Rookie of the Week three times in a row (maybe four, we’ll see how voting goes later today) brings another award home to the New Orleans Saints. November 2017 was the month of Alvin Kamara, with the Saints rookie collecting 594 yards from scrimmage and six touchdowns in four games.
You had to see it coming.

A three-time Rookie of the Week winner in November, @A_kamara6 is named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month! #GoSaints pic.twitter.com/JUSt5HEJJT
There were sixty-six players selected before Kamara this past April, and it’s fair to say he’s made more than a few teams regret passing on him. While other rookie running backs around the league are regressing or still settling into a role in the offense, Kamara is firing on all cylinders:
interesting trends going on here. rookie RB weekly scrimmage yards/game

Kamara’s Pro Bowl voting campaign is going great as well, by the way. Per the Advocate’s Nick Underhill, he’s currently seventh in votes for the position, sitting not far behind teammate Mark Ingram. At this rate it’ll look like an upset if he doesn’t get named Rookie of the Year. It’s just a matter of time.
