The New Orleans Saints (5-2) play host to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-5) in Week 9. Sean Payton’s squad is seeking their sixth straight victory after starting their year 0-2, and are also looking for their second NFC South win of 2017. On the other hand, Dirk Koetter’s Bucs went 2-1 to start the season, and have lost four straight.
As we cross into the second half of the season, a lot of people have jumped on the Saints bandwagon, going as far as saying this team will be in the Super Bowl. Thankfully, it looks like the players aren’t buying the hype.
Mark Ingram looks to rebound after two costly 4th Quarter fumbles in last week’s win over the Bears, and the Drew Brees led Saints offense could potentially have a stellar showing against a banged up Bucs defense. Naturally, we’re still waiting to see Willie Snead and Coby Fleener do some things.
On the other hand, how will the Saints defense fare against Jameis Winston? They’re certainly getting way more respect, being anchored and led by Cameron Jordan, Marshon Lattimore, and Kenny Vaccaro right now.
