Four Daily Fantasy Players From the New Orleans Saints vs Buffalo Bills

One Saints and three Bills to target in daily fantasy.

If you're a daily fantasy player, before each game I will look at three/four players from the New Orleans Saints and their opponent’s rosters that I would target in daily fantasy (based off their value and potential results). Obviously, Saints QB Drew Brees is a safe QB for daily fantasy leagues, but spending your money on a top-tier starting QB leaves you scraping the barrel to fill out the rest of your roster.

So here are three Saints and one Bear that provide the most bang for your buck. (Values from Fanduel.)

QB Tyrod Taylor (BUF) - $7,800

The Saints have clearly struggled with opposing QBs when they scramble out of the pocket. Even last week, the not-so-fleet-footed Ryan Fitzpatrick took a designed run for a 10-yard plus gain and a first down. Taylor will be the first (healthy) running QB the Saints have faced all year, and at $1,000 cheaper than the most expensive QB available, he has a pretty high floor with his rushing potential alone.

RB LeSean McCoy (BUF) - $8,300

Last week notwithstanding, the Saints have had a hard time stopping the run. They can get gashed with a big play and struggle with pass-catching backs out of the backfield. LeSean McCoy is a true three-down back that is an adept route-runner and pass-catcher, but also a power back between the tackles. He’s not cheap this week, but he’s still $1,300 cheaper than the most expensive RB available.

RB Mark Ingram (NO) - $6,900

Last week the Jets were able to run all over the Bills defense. Obviously the Bills will look to correct that moving forward, but look for the Saints to attempt a similar game plan this week. Kamara’s performance this season, especially in the passing game, has boosted his cost (he’s actually the same price as Ingram this week), but it will likely be Ingram that gets the majority of snaps against a below-average defensive line. Coming in $2,700 cheaper than the most expensive RB available, he’s an incredible value play this week.

K Stephen Hauschka (BUF) - $4,700

Don’t you think the Seahawks wish they kept this guy around? After watching Blair Walsh miss three FGs last week that would go on to cost them the game, Hauschka looks even more valuable. He’s in the upper half of the league in fantasy points per game, but is still in the bottom half in cost - $700 cheaper than the most expensive kicker this week.

My full daily fantasy lineup this week:

QB Tyrod Taylor (BUF) - $7,800

RB LeSean McCoy (BUF) - $8,300
