Saints’ Alvin Kamara wins fourth consecutive Pepsi Rookie of the Week award

New, comments

If for some weird reason you haven’t placed Alvin Kamara in the Offensive Rookie of the Year conversation already, then you might want to start.

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has won his fourth consecutive Pepsi Rookie of the Week award. It’s also the fifth time Kamara has taken down the award this season. This guy is pretty dang good, it would appear. In Week 12’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams, Kamara had 87 rushing yards and a score on the ground and added 101 receiving yards and a score on 6 receptions.

Kamara was up against Joe Mixon, Cooper Kupp, Samaje Perine, and Myles Garrett. The Saints have taken down this award five weeks in a row, six of the past seven weeks, and seven of the past nine. Marshon Lattimore is the other success story in this, and we can’t forget about Justin Hardee being NFC Special Teams Player of Week 9.

  • Week 4 - Kamara
  • Week 6 - Lattimore
  • Week 8 - Lattimore
  • Week 9 - Kamara
  • Week 10 - Kamara
  • Week 11 - Kamara
  • Week 12 - Kamara

Any Offensive Rookie of the Year talk should absolutely include Kamara, if for some weird reason it hasn’t already.
