New Orleans Saints vs. Carolina Panthers: Bold Predictions

Here are our bold predictions - what are yours?

It’s a pretty common occurrence for fans and analysts to make bold predictions about a game or season. If the prediction doesn’t come true, then that’s OK - you said it was bold! If it DOES come true, though... now you look like a genius!

So in that spirit, some of the Canal Street Chronicles writers were asked to share with me a bold prediction or two for the Week 13 of the regular season for the New Orleans Saints: back home in the Dome for their second game against the Carolina Panthers in a battle for first place in the NFC South. This is their chance to look brilliant!

Here are a few of the bold predictions provided by some of the contributors at Canal Street Chronicles:

NFL: New Orleans Saints at Los Angeles Rams Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
  • Oddly Specific - Marcus Williams gets his 2nd interception of the season on a pass thrown by Cam Newton in an attempt to just throw the ball away. (Elias)
  • Offense Bounces Back - Saints offense totals over 500 yards in the game. (Bob)
  • Dominance on Both Sides - The Saints both out-sack and out-rush the Panthers. (Sig)
  • Repeat From Week 3 - Saints defense forces 3 turnovers again. (Elias)
  • Ginn Revenge - Ted Ginn finishes with 125+ receiving yards and a score. (Hendrix)
  • Last Draft Pick to Play - Al-Quadin Muhammad records his first and second sack of his career. (Elias)
  • Ginn Revenge - Ted Ginn finishes with 125+ receiving yards and a score. (Hendrix)
  • ROY Showdown - Christian McCaffrey finishes with more yards than Alvin Kamara, but the Saints still win. (Rev)
  • Wait, Who? - Austin Carr catches more passes this week than Willie Snead has all season. (Elias)
  • Brees Goes Off - Drew Brees finishes with 400+ passing yards and 4 TDs. (Hendrix)
  • Unlikely Interceptors - AJ Klein and Vonn Bell both have interceptions of Cam Newton. (Bob)
  • We Can Hope - De’Vante Harris is inactive. (Sig)

Here are my three bold predictions for the game:

NFL: Washington Redskins at New Orleans Saints Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports
  • Mark Ingram has more rushing yards than Cam Newton has passing yards.
  • AJ Klein sacks Cam Newton.
  • Ted Ginn Jr has more rushing yards than Jonathan Stewart.

So there are some of our bold predictions for the game. What are yours?
