The Saints can clinch a playoff berth in Week 14

The Saints can get into the postseason for the first time since 2013, but they have to take care of business against the Falcons first.

Believe it or not, the New Orleans Saints can clinch a playoff berth in Week 14. They’re one of four teams in the NFC (Eagles, Vikings, Rams) that can do so. Nothing matters unless they beat the Atlanta Falcons, which promises to be a highly entertaining Thursday Night Football matchup. Should they win, here’s the six ways they can stamp their place in the playoffs for the first time since 2013.

New Orleans clinches a playoff berth with:

  1. Saints win + Panthers loss or tie + Cowboys loss or tie OR
  2. Saints win + Panthers loss + Lions loss or tie OR
  3. Saints win + Lions loss or tie + Packers loss or tie OR
  4. Saints win + Panthers loss + NO clinches strength of victory tiebreaker over Cowboys OR
  5. Saints win + Panthers tie + NO clinches strength of victory tiebreaker over Cowboys and Packers OR
  6. Saints win + Panthers tie + Packers loss or tie + NO clinches strength of victory tiebreaker over Cowboys
