For the past three seasons, Saints fans have made their displeasure known that the team moved training camp practices to West Virginia at the Greenbrier resort. With that contract now up, sources from Sporting News say that the familiar stomping grounds of Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi might return to being the home of the Saints training camp.

From 2006 until 2008, Millsaps was home to the Saints training camp before they decided from 2009-2013 that they would hold the camp at their Metairie location. Many fans feel that placing the team in the much more humid, hot and sticky weather of Louisiana will better equip them for the upcoming seasons than having camp in a country club and resort styled atmosphere.
Originally, the Saints cited the benefits of their indoor facilities and newer technology in Metairie as their reasons for leaving Millsaps the first time. A lot can transpire in almost a decade, and for many Saints fans a return to the gulf region would be a welcome occurrence. We’ll keep you updated as we get more information.
