After the countless rumors and buzz surrounding wide receiver Brandin Cooks, a trade has finally been agreed upon by the New Orleans Saints. The trade partner? The New England Patriots. ESPN’s Dianna Russini is reporting the Saints have picked up the No. 32 overall pick and and an additional 3rd Round pick (No. 103 overall) in exchange for Cooks and the Saints’ 4th Round Pick (No. 118 overall).

The end of the road for Cooks sees the Oregon State product finishing with 42 appearances with the Saints over the past three seasons, with 2,861 receiving yards on 215 receptions (13.3 yards per catch), adding 20 touchdowns receiving while rushing for one. Without question, Cooks will be missed, but the good news is a replacement could be gained easily through the draft.
Cooks will turn 24 in September, and will look to cash in on a big contract in the not so distant future.
