A day Saints fans have been waiting for, for what seems like a lifetime, has finally arrived. The New Orleans Saints are on the verge of landing an All-Pro Cornerback. Yes, you read that right, an All-Pro Cornerback. Malcolm Butler is in the building - literally.

For a couple of weeks now, Saints fans have all heard the news that Malcolm Butler could eventually become a Saint. With each passing day that he wasn't traded, the moans and groans have gotten louder. But we might be nearing the light at the end of the tunnel. After reports last night that Malcolm Butler was actually in New Orleans, this came out today:

Diana Russini, who broke the Brandin Cooks trade, did issue a word of caution:

While nothing official has been released yet, Saints fans should have their hopes set high. When Ian Rapoport reports something, it usually happens. It is safe to say the odds are really good at this point that Malcolm Butler leaves Saints facilities today with a long term deal in place, which will leave only working a trade with the Patriots as the final hurdle New Orleans will have to leap to finally land their lock-down Cornerback.

Stay tuned here and on Twitter to make sure you don't miss any breaking news concerning the Malcolm Butler situation or any Saints news in general. Buckle up Saints fans, today could be the day WhoDat nation finally gets the cornerback they've always deserved.
