The Saints have landed a possible replacement for Brandin Cooks, if they do indeed trade him. According to Dianna Russini of ESPN, the Saints have agreed to terms with wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr.

Ginn Jr. is a true burner who can take the top off of a defense, somewhat similar to Cooks. Ginn adds a veteran presence in the Saints locker room and wide receiving corps. He will also provide depth at punt returner and kick returner.
After struggling to produce early in his career with both the Dolphins and 49ers, Ginn Jr. found success the past couple years while in Carolina. He had a career year in 2015 with 44 catches for 739 yards and 10 touchdowns. He followed that up in 2016 with 54 receptions for 752 yards and four touchdowns in what was a down year for QB Cam Newton. He should thrive in an offense with Drew Brees throwing him passe,s while Michael Thomas and Willie Snead are opposite of him taking a lot of the attention.
