With the 18th pick in the 2017 Canal Street Chronicles Community NFL Mock Draft, the Tennessee Titans select...

John Ross, WR, Washington (5-foot-11, 188-pounds)

Here’s what Saints260912 had to say on the pick:

Here it is, everyone from my last draft wanted the Titans to pick a WR. I thought it would be a reach, so I went with Malik Hooker to improve a young defense. And now here we are with the 18th pick choosing between John Ross and Mike Williams. Now, when I first was thinking about this, I thought it was an obvious choice to pick Mike Williams from Clemson. Then I started looking at combine scores, and realized that maybe this is not the right move for the Titans.

First of all, I think Mike Williams is just a redbone WR, and will not be able to flat out beat any cornerback in the NFL. He will have to rely on jump passes to catch some balls. Then I was thinking of the Titans interest in Brandin Cooks, and wondered who resembles him the most in this year’s draft, and the obvious answer is John Ross. With a blazing 4.22 40-yard dash time, I predict that Ross will be able to spread out the field for Marcus Mariota and create space for other receivers like Rishard Mathews and Tajae Sharpe.

This is a perfect fit for me, and Marcus Mariota may become a top 5 quarterback in the league if this happens. With a playmaker like this on the field, I can predict the Titans will make the playoffs if they make this draft pick.

Do you agree with the Titans taking John Ross?
