With the 22nd pick in the 2017 Canal Street Chronicles community NFL Mock Draft, the Miami Dolphins select....

Jabrill Peppers, S, Michigan (5-foot-11, 213-pounds)

Miami needs help all over the secondary right now, but in this spot, Peppers seems like the right pick. He can come in and produce right away. He's a good tackler and plays very well in the box. The concerns about his coverage are somewhat real, but I have a feeling he will adjust much better than people give him credit for.

He will be a versatile player in the NFL and will allow Miami to run some sub packages with him as a linebacker as well (think Deone Buchannon). Peppers possesses the athleticism to be an explosive playmaker all over the defense and possibly on the offensive side of the ball in some packages. He's worked out for teams as a safety, linebacker, and running back. He provides great value at this point in the draft and fits very well with the direction of this team.
