After countless speculation, rumors, hot takes, and anything else under the sun, the New Orleans Saints 11th overall pick is in, and it’s CB Marshon Lattimore from Ohio State.
SB Nation’s Dan Kadar had Lattimore rated 5th overall, the top Cornerback prospect on his 100 player draft board.
The Saints, assuming nothing crazy happens, will have the final pick of Day 1’s draft at 32. Given the Lattimore selection, it would not be a shock to see the Saints grab a pass rusher at the back end of the first round.
In my previous two mocks, I had Lattimore falling to No. 11.
Average-sized, one-year starter with explosive athleticism and a loaded tool box. He has the feet, hips and agility to be a lockdown cornerback and the ball skills to make teams pay for looking in his direction. His lack of experience could show up early, but he has the confidence and competitive nature that should help him overcome those issues. He has the ability to become a Pro Bowl cornerback early in his career.
