With the second pick in the 2017 Canal Street Chronicles Community NFL Mock Draft, the San Francisco 49ers select:
Marshon Lattimore, CB, Ohio State (6-foot, 193-pounds)
Marshon Lattimore has pulled away as the consensus No. 1 cornerback in this class. He has everything you want in a lockdown CB. He had a great 2016 season at Ohio State with four interceptions and nine pass breakups. He then posted a really good showing at the NFL combine.
Lattimore is the type of guy who can come in and cover the No. 1 receiver on the opposing team almost immediately. With a 4.36 40-yard dash, not many guys will blow past him. He stands at 6-feet, which is great size for a NFL corner. The 49ers need secondary help in this draft, and you won't find a better DB than Lattimore. He will be ready to play and contribute come Day 1.
Poll
Do you agree with the 49ers taking Marshon Lattimore?
Thanks to all the CSC members who are participating in this year's community mock draft. Without your help, none of this would be possible!
