With the fifth overall pick in the 2017 Canal Street Chronicles NFL Mock Draft, the Tennessee Titans select:

Malik Hooker, S, Ohio State (6-foot-1, 206-pounds)

Here’s what Saints260912 had to say on the pick:

The Titans are a young team, and the way to make this team continue to grow would be to add to the defense. Now when you watch the Titans, they play in mostly a 3-safety set in which Kevin Byard plays more of a free safety role and the newly acquired Johnathon Cyprien will be the strong safety. With the addition of Malik Hooker, it will immediately fill a major hole in the back of their secondary as well as giving them a playmaker that can create turnovers. So, if you take Hooker, you’re playing him at free safety. You’re kicking Byard to more of a strong safety role, while Cyprien rotates and handles the 3rd safety role, which was utilized a ton. The Titans just need a difference maker on defense, and Hooker may just end up being the biggest difference maker in this class.
