Several veterans spotted at Saints rookie minicamp tryouts

It’s not just rookies making their case for the 90-man roster, as several veteran offensive players were spotted at Friday’s practice.

A good bit of players are in town to try out for this weekend’s 3-day New Orleans Saints rookie minicamp, but through some sleuthing and partnerships, we’ve found some notable veterans that are in attendance to pass along.

Offensive tackles Khalif Barnes and Bryce Harris, tight end Clay Harbor, quarterback Matt Simms, and wide receiver Louis Murphy are among those spotted from team photos on Friday afternoon.

Barnes and Harris have been with the Saints previously, and interestingly enough all veterans are on the offensive side. Of course, we may find out more when the list gets handed out on Saturday.

Some rookie numbers from the draft class to pass along, which aren’t official (so don’t go run to order jerseys) are: Marshon Lattimore (No. 34), Ryan Ramczyk (No. 71), Marcus Williams (No. 43), Alvin Kamara (No. 41), Alex Anzalone (No. 47), Trey Hendrickson (No. 91), and Al-Quadin Muhammad (No. 97). Also for those interested, LSU’s Travin Dural was wearing No. 14.

There’s a good running list of the tryout players from Saints Report, which you should check out:
