The New Orleans Saints are bringing back a familiar face and another veteran after the team’s 3-day rookie minicamp, according to The Times-Picayune’s Herbie Teope. Tight end Clay Harbor and offensive tackle Khalif Barnes are expected to sign with the team Monday.
#Saints are expected to sign OL Khalif Barnes and TE Clay Harbor on Monday, according to a source. Both were at rookie camp on tryout basis.

Both were spotted during Friday’s camp photos, along with several other veteran offensive players. The Saints had Barnes in and out of the team’s mix for 2016, but he never played in any games. Having just turned 35, he’ll compete for a reserve offensive tackle spot, but that would presumably be Ryan Ramczyk’s.
As for Harbor, he’ll turn 30 in July and faces a crowded battle at tight end. Coby Fleener should return as the starter, with Josh Hill and Michael Hoomanawanui the early favorites for the other two spots. However, both are coming off of injury. The team also has Garrett Griffin and veteran John Phillips available, and recently released Jake Stoneburner six days ago.
