According to Aaron Wilson of The Houston Chronicle, the New Orleans Saints are looking into their trading options for running back Travaris Cadet.

It’d make sense, as Cadet could likely find himself as the odd man out in the Saints backfield with the team’s big trio of Mark Ingram, Adrian Peterson, and rookie Alvin Kamara likely set up as the featured attack. Second-year back Daniel Lasco would likely be the early favorite as their fourth option, and could have the edge because of his special teams coverage.
Cadet signed a one-year deal with the Saints in mid-March worth $855,000. Reportedly, the Bills and Jets also had offers on the table. He’s coming off arguably the best season of his career with a career-high 40 receptions and four receiving touchdowns. It’d be hard to envision a Cadet for Eric Decker scenario, which many are suggesting. However, a mid-round pick would likely be the best return for the Saints if something happens.
