According to The Advocate’s Nick Underhill, the New Orleans Saints are working out cornerback Tharold Simon on Friday.
The Saints are working out CB Tharold Simon tomorrow, I’m told

The 26-year-old LSU product has had some difficulty finding the field over his career after being the Seattle Seahawks fifth-round pick of 2013. Simon appeared in 10 games in 2014, and many might recall him filling in for Jeremy Lane in the Super Bowl against the Patriots. Unfortunately, he allowed two touchdowns in relief.
Simon dealt with a shoulder injury and ultimately landed on injured reserve the following season with a dislocated toe in early October. He’d eventually be waived in September 2016, get claimed by the Cardinals the next day only to be released three months later. During the offseason, Simon latched on with the Redskins in January only to be waived in late May.
Needless to say, Simon has had some bad breaks and made his fair share of stops over his career, and we’re just talking about a workout. However, the Saints have been hit with injuries to Delvin Breaux (bone contusion), Marshon Lattimore (sprained knee), and Arthur Maulet (undisclosed). So, maybe they’re conducting some due diligence.
