Saints LB Dannell Ellerbe Medically Cleared: Expecting Cut News Soon

You can expect a change soon now that Ellerbe has been cleared.

According to Ian Rapport, Dannell Ellerbe has been medically cleared.

The Saints linebacker has been very productive when on the field. That’s been his biggest drawback as a New Orleans Saint. He can’t stay healthy to “be on the field.” In two seasons with the team Dannell has been able to only 15 games out of 32. In 2016 he was only on the field for 6 games. Coach Sean Payton has placed special emphasis on player availability, and a cut is expected now that Ellerbe can be removed from IR.
