Rookie Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore has been out of action for the past couple of training camp practices due to a reported knee sprain. While head coach Sean Payton is optimistic on his return, stating that it ‘won’t be long’, the Ohio State product looks to be a big part of the team’s defensive plans in 2017.
In this video, we take a look at some of Lattimore’s play with the Buckeyes. Even though he only has one year experience as a starter, Lattimore has all the tools you look for in an outside corner. Playing off man might need some work, but he has great vision for dropping back into zone and plays well in press. The hope is that eventually, he will enter the starting conversation as one of the team’s starting cornerbacks.
Well, let’s stop pretending like you're here to read filler paragraphs and that they aren't just a waste of good cursor ink. Check out the video.
