Who will the be the next Saint inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame?

Anyone before Brees?

Morten Andersen is finally a Hall of Famer.

During the Hall of Fame festivities yesterday, the camera showed New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees in attendance for his former Chargers teammate LaDainian Tomlinson. It’s only fitting for Brees to be shown watching a Hall of Fame induction, as we all expect for Brees to have his own ceremony in Canton after he retires.

But is he going to be the next New Orleans Saints player to be given that recognition? There have been plenty of great Saints players in the franchise’s history, and there are plenty of well-known “snubs” in the voting process from all across the 32 teams in the NFL. So will Saints fans have to wait for Brees for the next time they celebrate one of their former players’ careers? Or might another former Saint get his golden jacket before Drew?

Marques Colston is a former Super Bowl Champion but never made a trip to the Pro Bowl. Jahri Evans made six Pro Bowls with the Saints, but the Hall of Fame voters are notoriously stingy with offensive linemen (just ask Stan Brock). Could Deuce McAllister or Joe Horn find themselves in Canton?

What says you? Who will be the next Saints inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame? Who should it be if you think that a former Saint hasn’t gotten the recognition they deserve? Let us know in the comments. Send me presents.
