Brandon Coleman has been with the New Orleans Saints for a few seasons, yet contrary to last season where Sean Payton said he had a ‘pedestrian’ camp Coleman has been one of the early camp stars this year.
Whether or not he can continue his success in training camp remains to be seen, but there has been a change in both his demeanor and physicality. Adding coach Curtis Johnson over the wide receivers could have a significant impact, but Coleman cites another reason "It's time," he said. "It's time. It's my fourth training camp here, and the time is now. There's no tomorrow. I'm starting to realize that now."
The video below is a bit difference than what we’ve been doing. It is composed entirely of film/clips pulled from training camp through the first two weeks. Thus, there is no guarantee what we see here will be replicated in 2017. While improvement was shown last year over the previous he’ll have to elevate his play further to win the approval of Saints fans and earn more snaps.
It’s unlikely he’ll push Michael Thomas for the starting split-end spot, (scratch that, impossible) but Coleman could become more than just a red zone target and solid extra blocker.
