Just three games are on deck for late kickoff during Week 3 NFL action, and you could say there’s not that much intrigue for Saints fans. Of course, depending on how the team fares against the Panthers may once again dictate the afternoon football mood. Here’s the lineup:
- Seattle Seahawks (1-1) at Tennessee Titans (1-1)
- Cincinnati Bengals (0-2) at Green Bay Packers (1-1)
- Los Angeles Chargers (0-2) at Kansas City Chiefs (2-0)
The Seahawks-Titans contest might be the most entertaining matchup of the afternoon. It’ll be the 17th time these two franchises meet, which includes the Houston Oilers days, with the Seahawks leading the all-time series 10-6. The Titans have defeated the Seahawks (in 2010) just once since 1994.
The Bengals, who changed offensive coordinators last week after another abysmal showing for a second straight game, will look to see if they can put things together. However, they’ll have a tall task facing a Packers team that’s is reeling and hungry to bounce back after being thrashed by the Falcons on Sunday Night Football.
A typically good AFC West divisional matchup heavily favors the Chiefs over the Chargers, and rightfully so. The Chargers have lost six straight contests to the Chiefs dating back to 2014 after winning four straight in 2012 and 2013. Andy Reid and company sure look like contenders two weeks into the season, and a win is sure to help them even more.
