Four Daily Fantasy Players From New Orleans Saints vs Miami Dolphins

Two Saints and two Dolphins to target in daily fantasy.

If you're a daily fantasy player, before each game I will look at three/four players from the New Orleans Saints and their opponent’s rosters that I would target in daily fantasy (based off their value and potential results). Obviously, Saints QB Drew Brees is a safe QB for daily fantasy leagues, but spending your money on a top-tier starting QB leaves you scraping the barrel to fill out the rest of your roster.

So here are two Saints and two Dolphins that provide the most bang for your buck. (Values from Fanduel.)

QB Drew Brees (NO) - $8,500

If you watched the Dolphins last week, you saw QB Josh McCowan throw bombs on the Dolphins defense. Drew Brees, who comes only $400 cheaper than the most expensive QB available, should have similar success moving the ball. If Josh McCowan can do it, then so can Drew Brees.

RB Jay Ajayi (MIA) - $7,800

In Week 1, Dalvin Cook ran all over the Saints defense. In Week 2, it was Mike Gillislee. In Week 3, Christian McCaffery had his coming out party to the NFL. In Week 4, the Saints face arguably their toughest RB yet in Jay Ajayi. If Cook, Gillislee and McCaffery were able to run over the Saints defense, then Ajayi might have himself a big game next, and he comes $1,100 cheaper than the most expensive RB available.

K Wil Lutz (NO) - $4,700

Lutz missed a FG last week, and that is likely the only thing keeping him from the top tier Kickers in daily fantasy. He comes only $400 cheaper than the most expensive Kicker available, but is only the 13th most expensive Kicker but has averaged the 4th most fantasy points per game.

WR DeVante Parker (MIA) - $6,500

Jarvis Landry is another strong option in daily fantasy, but I think Parker (who comes $300 cheaper than Landry and $2,700 cheaper than the most expensive WR available) provides a better value. Parker is one of Miami’s biggest deep threats, and we’ve seen the Saints struggle in coverage.

My full daily fantasy lineup this week:

QB Drew Brees (NO) - $8,500

RB Jay Ajayi (MIA) - $7,800

RB Chris Thompson (WAS) - $5,800

WR DeVante Parker (MIA) - $6,500

WR Odell Beckham Jr (NYG) - $9,100

WR Demaryius Thomas (DEN) - $6,900

TE Kyle Rudolph (MIN) - $5,300

K Wil Lutz (NO) - $4,700

DST Seahawks (vs Colts) - $5,400
