The New Orleans Saints lead the Carolina Panthers 21-9 as we begin the second half of the Wild Card playoff from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The opening drives were not good for the Saints until Ted Ginn Jr. caught a huge 80-yard touchdown pass to make it 7-0 Saints. Graham Gano answered back with a 27-yarder for the Panthers to make it 7-3. Drew Brees hit Josh Hill with a 9-yard touchdown pass to open it up to 14-3 Saints. Graham Gano answered again with a 39-yarder to make it 14-6 Saints. The Saints extended the lead to 21-6 when fullback Zach Line powered through at the goal line. To end the first half, Graham Gano once again hit another field goal, this time a ridiculous 58-yarder, to make it 21-9 to end the first half.
The Saints need to continue to put the pressure on Carolina in the second half and not let up a bit. The opportunity to put the Panthers down for good is at hand, and the Saints need to strike with ruthless efficiency. Here’s to a great second half for the Saints! Who Dat!
