Saints’ Alvin Kamara up for FedEx Ground Player of the Week

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara had himself a day against the New York Giants in Week 4, and now he’s up for FedEx Ground Player of the Week because of it.

In the 33-18 win that helped the Saints improve to 3-1 on the season, Kamara rushed 19 times for 134 yards (7.1 yards per carry), notching 3 total touchdowns on the ground. He also had 5 catches for 47 yards (9.4 yard average). It was his 49-yard touchdown that totally sunk the Giants at MetLife Stadium, which was a thing of beauty.

Kamara is up against Kansas City’s Kareem Hunt and Dallas’ Ezekiel Elliott for the award. Fans can visit NFL.com/FedEx to cast their vote, and additionally vote on Twitter via an NFL poll. Vote for Kamara here! You can also use Twitter, using #AirandGround to spread the word!

FedEx and the NFL will announce the winners every Thursday afternoon, and then FedEx will award a $2,000 donation in the winning players’ names to The USO.
