Back and forth game here in the first half.

NFL: New Orleans Saints at Baltimore Ravens Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

On the first drive for the Saints it looks like a 3 and out but the Saints pick up the first on a fake punt. They then drive the field with two more first on fourth down plays and drive into goal range. All comes to naught when a fumble on a trick play gives the ball to the Ravens. Ravens make one successful series for a first down then have to punt on the next. During this drive Baltimore uses two challenge flags winning one and losing one. No more challenges for them.

Saints wind up punting and then the Ravens punt. Saints punt again and it’s a zero score game thus far.

Next drive Payton challenges a spot and loses. Joe Flacco picks up another first down. Saints jump offsides put a completed pass gives Baltimore another first. Saints defense holds on the third down but the Ravens pick up the first on fourth down. After a near interception the Ravens are forced to kick a fieldgoal. 3-0 ravens late in the second quarter.

Saints start off the next drive on the 25. Drew Brees escapes a near sack and completes for a first. Next past is a long one to Michael Thomas for 32 yards. Short pass to Mark Ingram for 8 yards. Alvin Kamara runs for short and inches on 2nd down. Brees with the QB sneak for the first. Josh LeRibeus who is in for Andrus Peat is down with what looks like a calf or ankle injury. Kamara breaks off a long run for first and goal. Kamara runs to the 5 yard line which takes us to the 2 minute warning. Drew throws for the endzone and a pass interference call makes it first and goal at the one. Brees tosses it to Benjamin Watson for the TD and he joins the 500 TD club. The Will Lutz extra point is good and the Saints go up 7-3.

Ravens start the net drive at the 25 with 1:53 left on the clock. Willie Snead IV picks up 9 yards. Raven get the first down. Next pass to Josh Brown almost scores. Marcus Williams stops him at the one. On first down the Saints stuff the run. On second a illegal contact against Marcus Williams gives the Raven a new set of downs. 2 plays later Lamar Jackson runs it in for a TD. Extra point is good. Ravens head into the half up 10-7.
