Monday Night Football - Week 5

Washington Redskins (2-1) at New Orleans Saints (3-1)

Are you ready for some football?!!!

The Saints take on the Redskins in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome tonight looking to improve their record to 4-1 as they head into the bye week. Drew Brees comes into this game looking to become the NFL’s all-time passing yards leader. He needs to pass for over 201 yards tonight to make NFL history in front of the home crowd. Another huge story for the Saints is the return of Mark Ingram to the team following his four game suspension. It will be good to have #22 back on the field and he will certainly be excited to be back as well.

The Saints have had their struggles against the Redskins in the Payton/Brees era though, as New Orleans has posted a 2-4 record against Washington during this timeframe. In those six games, the only two Saints victories took overtime to attain. The Redskins have the 3rd ranked defense in the league and will not be a pushover, so the Saints will need to be focused in this one.
