It’s a pretty common occurrence for fans and analysts to make bold predictions about a game or season. If the prediction doesn’t come true, then that’s OK - you said it was bold! If it DOES come true, though... now you look like a genius!

So in that spirit, some of the Canal Street Chronicles writers were asked to share with me a bold prediction or two for the Week 11 of the regular season for the New Orleans Saints: a battle in the dome against the defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. This is their chance to look brilliant!

Here are a few of the bold predictions provided by some of the contributors at Canal Street Chronicles:

Wild Card Playoffs - New Orleans Saints v Philadelphia Eagles
  • 22 Goes Ham Again - Mark Ingram has second 100 yard game of the season and scores two TDs. (Bob)
  • Pick City - Marshon Lattimore records his first interception of the year. (Brenden)
  • Secondary Holds - Saints defense keeps all Eagles WRs under 100 yards as a unit. (Butler)
  • AK-41 to the House - Alvin Kamara scores on a punt return. (Bob)
  • New Orleans Special - Teddy Bridgewater passes for a TD. (Chad)
  • Dez Who? - Brandon Marshall scores a touchdown. (Bob)

Here are my three bold predictions for the game:

  • Drew Brees catches a pass.
  • Michael Thomas is not the Saints-leading receiver.
  • Saints defense sacks Wentz four times.

As a fun aside, I have an Eagles (@mcmillaneli on Twitter) fan chime in with his own bold predictions:

  • Eagles sack Brees four times in the game, quadrupling their total from the previous four weeks combined.
  • Golden Tate goes for 100+ yards and a TD.
  • Eagles win.

So there are some of our bold predictions for the game. What are yours?
