It’s still only the preseason, so not every major media outlet has released their Power Rankings to start the NFL season. Still, there are a few sources already releasing rankings at this point, so how do the New Orleans Saints rank?
ESPN - #3
Surpring player to watch: WR Tre’Quan Smith. The rookie third-round draft pick from Central Florida has made some of the flashiest plays throughout training camp and the preseason opener, showing a good combination of size and speed at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds. Coaches have still been harping on him for issues such as communication, alignment, etc. But his big-play ability should get him on the field as a third or fourth receiver.
USA Today - #6
Any more underrated player than WR Michael Thomas? He’s one key to a team with plenty of motivation to overcome2017’s missed opportunity.
Bleacher Report - #3
Good luck finding a more interesting player than Taysom Hill, who’s been a special teams gunner before and just went berserk as a quarterback, completing 8-of-9 passes for 72 yards and rushing seven times for 52 yards and a score.
Average Power Ranking Composite: #4
