Two days ago the Seattle Seahawks released WR Tanner McEvoy to make roster room for FB Daniel Marx.
This was first reported by Mike Triplett.
Saints signing WR Tanner McEvoy after he was released by Seahawks, per source. Very crowded position, but perhaps Saints will be attracted to special teams ability/versatility. 6-6, 230-pounder began career in 2016 at safety... https://t.co/we6YyT3MC5

McEvoy signed with Seattle in 2016 as an UDFA and played for them for two years. The 6’6, 230 lb, player is coming into a very crowed field of competition. The New Orleans Saints are likely interested in Tanner because of his versatility. He has played QB, RB and TE. In 2012, while playing QB for Arizona Western, in 10 games, he threw for 2,301 yards with 29 touchdowns and rushed for six more.
While playing for the Seahawks Tanner caught 14 passes for 253 yards and 2 TD. In 2016 McEvoy also threw a 43 yard pass at New Orleans, setting up a TD, although Seattle loss that game 25-20.
