The New Orleans Saints enter halftime with a 12-7 lead over the New York Giants in Week 4. Wil Lutz has made six field goals, four of which actually counted thanks to penalties. The Saints offense is just 1-of-7 on 3rd down, and haven’t turned in a red zone touchdown yet. Drew Brees is 9-of-18 for 102 yards, as the Saints have outgained the Giants 164-97. The Giants had an early touchdown drive, but saw a couple of 3-and-outs and a Wayne Gallman turnover.
The Saints have had plenty of opportunities, and it’s things like this that drive Sean Payton into a frenzy. Hopefully, the Saints can continue to shell out some of the defensive efforts we’ve seen thus far, and the offense can get things going. Michael Thomas has been relatively quiet, catching his lone target for 12 yards. There has been plenty of Taysom Hill, however.
The Giants will receive the ball to open the second half.
