Falcons vs. Eagles: 2018 NFL Kickoff open thread

The Philadelphia Eagles host the Atlanta Falcons tonight in Philly to get the 2018 NFL Season underway. The defending champion Eagles will unveil their Super Bowl LII championship banner in front of the Falcons of all franchises. Philly could've easily chosen Dallas, Washington, New York, or even Minnesota to drop that banner on top of, in front of 70,000 certifiable lunatics, yet they give us the gift of doing that to Atlanta. The same Atlanta that failed to seize their own banner in Super Bowl LI.

For those that don’t remember Super Bowl LI, it is easily the second-most enjoyable Super Bowl of all-time. In that game, the Atlanta Falcons blew a 25-point lead, which they held late into the 3rd quarter, gagging away their ever-elusive Super Bowl title. It was quite satisfying, you should check it out if you get a chance.

Anyway, real NFL Football is finally here! Hopefully the Eagles will further embarrass the Falcons in front of a nationally televised audience, where they truly excel at embarrassment. Let’s kick back, relax, and enjoy some regular season football!
