Saints Week 6 inactive report: Alvin Kamara to play against Jaguars

Nothing else really matters other than the fact that Alvin Kamara will be playing for the Saints today.

The New Orleans Saints (4-1) face back-to-back road contests over the next two games, with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-3) being first up on their plate this Sunday. It’ll be just the 7th time these two meet, with the Saints leading the all-time series 4-2 and winners of three straight (2015, 2011, 2007). Some have labeled this as a trap game for Sean Payton’s squad, as Teddy Bridgewater has posted a 3-0 record without Drew Brees in the lineup. Here’s a look at who’s in and who’s out for Week 6.

  • QB Drew Brees (right thumb)
  • DE Trey Hendrickson (neck)
  • WR Tre’Quan Smith (ankle)
  • DB Ken Crawley
  • DB Saquan Hampton
  • OL Ethan Greenidge
  • OL Nick Easton

Tre’Quan Smith re-injured his ankle during last week’s game against the Buccaneers, and Trey Hendrickson (neck) started the week as a limited participant of practice, but quickly reverted back to a non-participant for the next two injury reports.

Alvin Kamara, who was listed as questionable on the final report with an ankle injury, will play today. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport broke news early in the morning that Kamara was expected to suit up barring any setbacks, and Sean Payton confirmed to CBS Sideline Reporter Melanie Collins that he will be active. Also of interest, the Jaguars will be without Jalen Ramsey.
