Saints 3 Jaguars 3: 2nd Half Game Thread

Defensive battle thus far.

The Saints receive the opening kickoff.

Both teams exchange punts a couple of times to start off the first quarter. The Saints next drive results in a fieldgoal by Will Lutz from 47 yards.

Jaguars go three and out, punt and it’s Saints Ball at the 17.

Teddy Bridgewater completes to Ted Ginn Jr. for 27 yards. End of the first quarter. Saints up 3-0.

A rush for no gain and two short completions all Alvin Kamara and the Saints punt.

Jaguars start at the 15. Leonard Fournette picks up 6 yards on two plays. QB Gardner Minshew II scrambles for 10 but a holding penalty negates the play. Jaguars punt.

Jaguars start at the 30. Minshew completes for 12 yards. 1st and 10. Another completion places the Jaguars at the Saints 32. Fournette rush for 3. Completion to Fournette makes it 1st and 10 at the Saints 20. Fournette for 3 more. Fournette for no gain. 3rd and 7. 9 yard pass to the Saints 8. 1st and goal quickly goes to 3rd and goal at the 4. On 4th down the Jaguars tie it up. 3 all.

Deonte Harris returns kick for 21 to the 23 where the Saints start this drive. 2:10 left in the half. Bridgewater to Michael Thomas for 14. 1st and 10. At the 49 Saints punt.

Jaguars ball at the 14 with one minute left. 2 plays jaguars pick up the 1st at the 29. Incomplete pass. Jaguars are backed up to the 20 and kneel to run the clock out.

Far from a shoot out in this one. All defense thus far. Teddy Bridgewater is 14 of 22 for 126s. No touchdowns and no interceptions. The rush game is non-existent with 11 yards on 8 tries. Ted Ginn Jr. is the leading receiver with 36 yards on 2 catches with a long of 27.
