The first injury report of Week 5’s NFC South matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints has dropped. Three players did not practice, according to the team. Here’s how it looks for Wednesday.
Did Not Practice
- QB Drew Brees (right thumb)
- DB J.T. Gray (hand)
- DE Trey Hendrickson (neck)
Limited
- WR Tre’Quan Smith (ankle)
- OL Will Clapp (hand)
- S Vonn Bell (back)
- DE Cameron Jordan (calf)
- LG Andrus Peat (thigh)
Hendrickson left the game early against the Cowboys after putting a rush on Tyron Smith, which should have drew a holding call. Gray was injured on a special teams play, and was receiving treatment on the sidelines afterwards. Both Smith and Clapp returned on a limited basis, and we’ll keep an eye on Bell, Jordan, and Peat’s status as the week progresses.
The Buccaneers had six players that did not practice on their initial injury report, which included Shaquil Barett (groin) and Chris Godwin (hip).
