After two straight road trips, the New Orleans Saints (6-1) return home this weekend to host the Arizona Cardinals (3-3-1) during a Sunday noon kickoff. The biggest headline of today’s game centers around Drew Brees returning to action after his thumb injury/surgery from Week 2. Three players were previously ruled out on Friday’s final injury report, and here’s how the full list of inactives look for the black and gold.

  • WR Tre’Quan Smith (ankle)
  • CB Patrick Robinson (hamstring)
  • TE Jared Cook (ankle)
  • RB Alvin Kamara (ankle)
  • OL Ethan Greenidge
  • OL Nick Easton
  • DE Carl Granderson

ESPN’s Adam Schefter stated last night that Kamara (ankle) would not play today, and should be expected back after the team’s bye week. This also means that Latavius Murray and Dwayne Washington will be the only two running backs to play on Sunday. J.T. Gray (ankle), Eli Apple (knee), and Trey Hendrickson (neck) will all play. Hendrickson has been missing from the lineup since he was injured during the Cowboys game. Ken Crawley will make his 2019 Saints regular season debut, and is expected to play primarily in special teams and possible nickel/dime situations. Krishawn Hogan, who was recently called up from the practice squad, will also play today.
