NFL: Dallas Cowboys at New Orleans Saints Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

Most everyone picked the Dallas Cowboys to beat the New Orleans Saints in Week 4 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, but that simply wasn’t the case on Sunday Night Football. The Saints defense responded with a stellar showing en route to a 12-10 victory, as the team won a game without scoring a single touchdown for the first time since 1998. As a result, SB Nation’s recent FanPulse results show the confidence levels rising.

This week’s national question was pretty interesting, as it asked what replacement quarterback everyone would take right now. Teddy Bridgewater was one such option, but finished third in the polls way behind Gardner Minshew and Daniel Jones. Bridgewater hasn’t set the world on fire, but has managed to help New Orleans get two wins with Drew Brees out.

Current Confidence Level - 83% (previously 78%)

The Saints, who are now 3-1 on the young season, turn their attention to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-2) this Sunday for an NFC South showdown. All Bruce Arians’ team did last week was upset the Rams in Los Angeles and hang 55 points on them. While an encore isn’t expected, this will be a game where the Saints offense needs to come to life to pick up a win.
