The Saints go up on the Panthers 14 quickly in the first ten minutes of the game.

A blown coverage by P.J. Williams puts the Panthers in scoring range. They make the TD but miss the extra point. 14-6 Saints.

Saints drive for another 3 points off the leg of Will Lutz.

Panthers score a fieldgoal as well.

Penalties continue to haunt the Saints yet some were very questionable. At the end of the half a sack by Demario Davis is nullified by a personal foul flag against Cameron Jordan allowing the Panthers to ultimately drive down to a first and goal. A Sack brings to clock down to 12 seconds and Christian McCaffrey almost makes the TD. It’s ruled a TD but is called back and the Panthers have to burn their final timeout. Panthers go for it and a wide open McCaffery makes the TD. Panthers go for two and fail. 17-15 Saints at halftime.
