NFL Picks Week 10: Polar Opposites

The Saints return to action as they host their bitter rivals from Atlanta.  We take a look at this and all of the action in Week 10.

NFL: Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

The New Orleans Saints host the hated Atlanta Falcons with a chance to win their seventh consecutive game of the season. The Saints are clearly rolling and find themselves in the top spot in the NFC South following last week’s bye. Now the slumping, hapless Falcons come to town to be crushed under the Saints’ heels.

The Falcons couldn't possibly be more opposite of the Saints this season, and Who Dat Nation couldn't be happier about it. The Saints are marching to a 7-1 record whole the Falcons are crawling in with a 1-7 record. The Saints coaching staff is a good as you will find in the league, while the Falcons’ staff is in complete disarray, with the head coach’s seat so white hot it’s on the verge of melting. The Saints talent has risen to the occasion, despite major injuries, while the Falcons continue to wither despite the talent they have. This has been fantastic so far and will only get better this Sunday. Who Dat!

Let’s take a look at this and all of the exciting Week 10 action in the NFL.

Last week I went 7-7

I told you so: Texans over Jags!

What do I know: Packers over Chargers?

WEEK 10

Chargers(4-5) at Raiders(4-4)

Los Angeles stays on a roll after their monster game last week by finding their running game against the suspect Oakland defense. Los Angeles wins 23-16.

Pick: Chargers

Sunday, November 10th - Early Games

Ravens(6-2) at Bengals(0-8)

Lamar Jackson will have his best passing game of the season here against the NFL’s worst defense. Baltimore wins 24-13.

Pick: Ravens

***

Bills(6-2) at Browns(2-6)

Buffalo’s stingy defense will snuff out the Browns in Cleveland. Buffalo wins 24-14.

Pick: Bills

***

Lions(3-4-1) at Bears(3-5)

Detroit will continue to pile on the struggling Bears behind a big day from Matthew Stafford. Detroit wins 28-19.

Pick: Lions

***

Giants(2-7) at Jets(1-7)

This showdown of MetLife Stadium neighbors won't be one to watch at all. Giants win 21-16.

Pick: Giants

Chiefs(6-3) at Titans(4-5)

Kansas City’s offense gets right back on track behind the returning Patrick Mahomes. Kansas City wins 38-20.

Pick: Chiefs

Cardinals(3-5-1) at Buccaneers(2-6)

Just getting the feeling Tampa will have left too much on the field last week in Seattle. The slumping Bucs will ruin Bruce Arians’ chance to stick it to his old team. Arizona wins 30-17.

Pick: Cardinals

Falcons(1-7) at Saints(7-1)

To this point, Falcons Hate Week hasn’t had the same fanfare that it usually brings, due to the Falcons’ lackluster season and record, but don't be fooled, once gameday gets here the hate will once again flow like a raging river. The Saints are coming into this game at nearly full health and they will flex their muscle and impose their will on their most hated rival this week.

Let’s be clear, Matt Ryan will be a major upgrade at quarterback over Matt Schaub if he’s healthy, but honestly no matter which Matt starts for the Falcons, they will be under duress for the entire game. The Saints pass rush will be salivating over the matchup against the Atlanta offensive line. Prepare for a monster 4-sack game by Cam Jordan in this one. Marcus Davenport, Sheldon Rankins, and Demario Davis will all get their shots in on Matt as well.

The Saints are not just simply better than the Falcons, they are significantly and impressively better than Atlanta in 2019. Yes, divisional play between bitter rivals tends to even out matchups sometimes, but this is not one of those times. This is the Saints time. This will be a clear and decisive Saints victory, and we will love every moment of it. Saints win 35-19.

Pick: Saints

Sunday, November 10th - Late Games

Dolphins(1-7) at Colts(5-3)

Indy will have a big game on the ground in this one, sending Miami back to their losing ways. Indianapolis wins 21-12.

Pick: Colts

***

Rams(5-3) at Steelers(4-4)

Los Angeles’ passing game will exert its dominance over the Steelers in Pittsburgh. Los Angeles wins 27-10.

Pick: Rams

***

Panthers(5-3) at Packers(7-2) - Game of the Week

Green Bay will have no answers for Christian McCaffrey, but Aaron Rodgers will bail out the Pack in the end once again. Green Bay wins 30-28.

Pick: Packers

***

Sunday Night Football

Vikings(6-3) at Cowboys(5-3)

This one will be razor-close all the way through, but ultimately, it will be the play of Kirk Cousins that will be Minnesota’s undoing. Dallas wins 23-20.

Pick: Cowboys

***

Monday, November 11th - Monday Night Football

Seahawks(7-2) at 49ers(8-0)

San Francisco comes in the NFL’s hottest team and the lone undefeated team remaining, but Seattle comes in as no slouch themselves, having won five of their last six games. The difference in this one will be the play of Russell Wilson, who will have his best performance of the season so far. Seattle wins 33-21.

Pick: Seahawks
