With a whopping seven New Orleans Saints named to the initial Pro Bowl rosters, the team with the Fleur de Lis on their helmet is highly represented.
However, even with seven players headed to Hawaii as it currently stands, it still feels like other Saints should have made the list. Let’s go over a few, and then vote in the poll on who you think the biggest Saints Pro Bowl snub of 2019 is. The contenders:
Thomas Morstead
Morstead seems to be punished for being on a team that simply does not need his services as often as others. Tress Way of Washington instead made the roster as one of D.C.’s two representatives. Way leads the NFL in average yards per punt, but when compared to Morstead, it seems pretty clear Morstead is having the better year. Morstead is setting a career mark in punts downed inside the opposing 20-yard line (51%), while Way is only pinning opponents back on 37% of his punts. Add in the fact that Way has three touchbacks in 2019 compared to Morstead’s one, and it seems as if Morstead is doing a better job of helping his team flip field position.
It’s not Morstead’s fault that he doesn’t have to punt from the back of his end zone as often as Way.
Ryan Ramczyk
In just his third year, Ryan Ramczyk is already one of the best right tackles in football.
He has completely erased from the stat sheet some of the most prolific pass rushers in the NFL, including the likes of JJ Watt, Khalil Mack, DeMarcus Lawrence, and Jadeveon Clowney.

Not many offensive linemen in football can add notches to their bedpost for the quality of names listed above, but Ryan Ramczyk has been an absolute beast all year long. Ramcyzk was vindicated on Friday, as he got the nod for All-Pro First Team at right tackle. Second team went to Mitchell Schwartz of the Chiefs, who was also snubbed from the Pro Bowl.
Demario Davis
Sure, Luke Kuechly might have more tackles than Demario Davis right now, but Demario is playing at an all-around higher level than Luuuuuuuuuuuke.

Want him to stay in the box and stop the run? He has 77 total tackles on the season. Need him to play coverage? He has a insane 12 pass break ups. Need him to rush the passer? He has three sacks.
That’s more sacks that Ziggy Ansah, more solo tackles than Luke Kuechly, and more passes defended than Xavier Rhodes. AP voters recognized Davis’ sterling season, and he ultimately got the nod for All-Pro First Team. Kuechly ended up on the second team alongside the Colts’ Darius Leonard and the Steelers’ T.J. Watt.
Taysom Hill
That game with Demario Davis was fun. Let’s do it with Taysom.
Taysom Hill has a higher yards per rushing attempt than Derrick Henry, more receiving touchdowns than Odell Beckham Jr, and a higher quarterback rating than....wait for it...Lamar Jackson.
And the saddest thing of all in all of this? It wasn’t even possible to vote for Taysom for the Pro Bowl. As the Jack of all Trades, the NFL seemingly didn’t know what position to label him, so they just left him off ballots completely.
