Ezekiel Ansah set to visit the Bills and Saints, report says

Saints rumors are heating up on this Tuesday.

The New Orleans Saints are looking at pass-rusher Ezekiel Ansah, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Reportedly, Ansah is set to visit the Bills and then the Saints, but has to wait until the official start of the new league year on Wednesday.

The Saints will undoubtedly be in the market for a defensive end with Alex Okafor set to hit free agency. Ansah is one of the top guys available, and there’s sure to be a ton of interest for his services. Ansah was bothered by a shoulder injury most all season, which led to him appearing in just seven games for the Lions and ultimately requiring surgery sending him to injured reserve.

New Orleans used draft resources to acquire Marcus Davenport last season, and it would appear that he would be the primary staple opposite of Cameron Jordan heading into 2019, assuming there’s no setbacks with his toe surgery. Ansah could come in on a prove-it deal with heavy incentives, but we’ll see.
